What is fighting dirty?
Fighting Dirty is a not-for-profit legal group using the power of the law to hold polluters and governments accountable. We take strategic legal action to challenge harmful policies, close regulatory loopholes, and force real environmental protections.
What makes legal action such an effective tool?
Unlike petitions or protests, legal challenges force action. Governments and corporations cannot ignore court rulings, and when we win, laws change, polluters pay, and the environment is protected at scale.
Who runs fighting dirty?
We are led by three passionate directors: award-winning journalist George Monbiot, environmental engineer Georgia Elliott-Smith, and policy expert Steve Hyndside. Our legal cases are developed by Leigh Day’s Environmental Law team and David Wolfe KC of Matrix Chambers.
How will my donation be used?
Every donation directly funds legal research, expert legal teams, and case preparation. Unlike big charities with high overheads, we operate lean—every pound goes towards taking polluters to court.
