Not-for-profit environmental movement
We're Fighting Dirty. Literally.Fighting Dirty is a group of three environmental activists. Together we formed Fighting Dirty to use legal means to challenge loopholes enabling harmful pollution in our shared natural environment.
Our approach
The Fight Against Pollution Starts Here.
Polluters Are Poisoning Our Soil and Rivers. The Law Can Stop Them.
Toxic forever chemicals, microplastics, and industrial waste are leaking into our land and water, harming wildlife and threatening human health. The UK’s regulators should be stopping this – but they aren’t.
Fighting Dirty is taking legal action where others won’t. We challenge government failures, expose industry corruption, and force real environmental protections using the most effective tool we have – THE LAW.
Legal Action Has the Highest return on impact in the Fight Against Pollution.
We’ve already:
✅ Forced the UK government to include incinerators in emissions regulations.
✅ Challenged outdated policies allowing toxic sludge to be spread on farmland.
✅ Sparked investigations leading to media exposés and government scrutiny.
And we’re just getting started.
Our campaigns
We’re already making waves

Our work with whistleblowers is fueling a BBC documentary on the illegal burning of UK tyres in India.
Tackling PFAS POLLUTION
We’re investigating toxic industrial discharges in UK waterways and are building up a case in 2025
Fighting for Stronger Chemical regulations
We’re challenging the UK’s failure to regulate hazardous substances.
Pressuring the government on sewage sludge
What Drives Us
Our Mission
Fighting Dirty’s mission is to create effective regulation that prevents harmful pollution at source. We use the legal system to challenge the action, or inaction, of policymakers, regulators and other public bodies, closing loopholes and embedding the ‘polluter pays’ principle.
We work with a core legal team to identify strategic cases with the potential to significantly reduce or eliminate harmful pollution primary from ‘forever chemicals’, microplastics, and other toxic substances that present a hazard to the environment and human health.

Support our work
We can’t do it without you
Litigation is powerful
But it’s also expensive. Unlike polluting corporations, we don’t have deep pockets. Every £1 you donate helps us fund expert legal teams, uncover critical evidence, and take polluters to court.
Why legal action
Unlike petitions or protests, legal challenges force action. Governments and corporations cannot ignore court rulings, and when we win, laws change, polluters pay, and the environment is protected at scale.
